I guess many of you are enjoying the regular updates that are happening on the official George Michael web-site. It’s great to see! However, I do some minor (constructive) criticisms with the generally fabulous “25 Live Tour Firsts” facts.
Firstly, I’m already seeing some repetition – even though we’re on only on First #6.
For example, compare, First #1
The colours (on the video screen) change as each band member plays or George sings
with First #6
The onscreen visuals respond to the musicians performing
Now, I do accept these are different things – but #1 is a subset of #6, so counts as repetition, I think.
Secondly, a bit more context for the facts would be fabulous. For example, take First #4 – Motion tracking comes from the artist to video. It sounds cool, but I have no idea what it means! Or, take First #5 – 490 frequency channels are transmitted to the audio mixing board. Again, it sounds great, but I have no idea how much an improvement this is. Was the previous record 489 channels? Or 400? Or 256? Or 100?
Anyway, please keep up the good work with the Tour Firsts – it’s good to be provided with these insights…
