An Easier Affair – #13 in the UK Singles Chart. It’s A Shame.

So, looks like sales picked up a little during the week – the George Michael song, An Easier Affair, went in at #13 in the UK singles chart. This is one of George’s worst ever chart placings for a single, and the worst ever position he’s had for single that wasn’t previously available on an album.

What a shame.  This could have have been so easily avoided.

  1. Do you think George just wants out of this damn contract now, so is just going along with what the record company wants, i.e releasing a single at all? It’s Sony for God sake…they of all people know he won’t break his back promoting it!! It’s not entirely their job to promote it (the artist has to help!)…so who promoted this single? Er…answers on a postcard….?!!!🙂

  2. Why does everyone conveniently forget all the LWP shit chart placings…An Easier Affair didn’t do that badly compared to #23 for Freedom90, #28 for Waiting For The Day, #31 for Heal The Pain and #45 for Cowboys And Angels…#13 isnt looking so bad now, is it?

  3. That’s true, 2FUNKY, althogh everyone who wanted those tracks already had them on the album when those singles were released. The fact is, this was the worst ever position he’s had for a single that wasn’t previously available on an album.
